Machine learning for cancer diagnostics

We are merging our knowledge of embryonic development with our knowledge of cancer to build the next, "next generation" diagnostics.

Cancer is ultimately a developmental disease, as the body's own developmental processes go awry.  We are merging datasets cataloging mammalian development with datasets cataloging cancer to build a comprehensive developmental map of human tumors.  We are then using this map to build predictive machine learning models that can aid diagnosis of carcinoma in the clinic.  This will lead us to newer, better diagnostics and enable better precision medicine.
